…….

…….

Chris Christie or the gateway candidate for President Hillary.

I had chosen to remain quiet about Gov Christie because it was still too early for Presidential talk. But this morning I heard on the radio some commentator saying that with most Americans calling themselves independents, Christie was going to be their choice and the rest of us conservatives should shut up and suck it up.

There is no doubt that Christie is well liked….in his state.  We are talking New Jersey here and a NJ Republican is our Floridian equivalent of Debbie Wassermann Schulzt.

And it is not because he commuted Brian Aitken’s sentence instead of giving him a full pardon and we are just being ornery.  I have asked several Gun Rights advocates their opinion about him and the response has been both visceral and negative: They simply do not trust him and neither do I. It has that suave used-car salesman charm that makes me cringe and I need to make sure I am  not about to be wallet-molested.

If the Republican party is stupid enough (I know) to force Christie down the gullets of the rank and file, be ready to inaugurate Monica Lewinsky Ex-boyfriend’s wife as POTUS because a boatload of people will refuse to even get out of bed to vote for the Snake-Oil Salesman from Newark.

Tactical Comemierda.

When I saw this video, the word comemierda popped to mind immediately. For those Spanish Impaired, comemierda means

“Come mierda” (literally translating “shit-eater”) is a term mostly used by Cubans as “dumb-ass” and “fool”. The term is used either to describe someone as a fool, someone who is fooling around, goofing off, a foolish or stupid situation, etc. It is also used to describe someone absurdly pretentious or distant.

And that describes pretty much everything in this video:

I would pay to see the guy suddenly getting a malfunction and having to do a tap/rack.

Hat Tip to Tam even though I developed a migraine watching this comemierderia..

A Gun Control Advocate view of the Bill or Rights (Mostly invisibility)

Let’s start with the end: Twitter User Pamela Fick engaged in an argument about the Second Amendment.

pamela fick 1

This is sadly hilarious because I had been exchanging tweets with the lady who, for some reason thought I was on the side of Gun Control (no idea why 🙂 ). I could not help myself and fed her some standard gun control lines that collide directly with our Bill of Right and apparently she had no problem with that:

Pamela Flick 2
So Ms. Fick in a few exchanges pretty much discarded the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth and I think even the Sixth Amendments in the name of “safety”.  For Pamela, the idea of Unintended Consequences is not even a remote blip in cranial radar; she figures that the “enforcements” she champions will be only selectively applied to those she does not like and she will be spared of the nasty things it may bring. ….until it bites her in the ass.

In a very sad and twisted way, our fight to preserve all the Bill of Rights is not done for our lifestyle but hers as well.

A thankless job that has to be done.

Moms Demand celebrate Gabby Gifford.

They are  all excited over Moms:

MOms Demand Gabby Giffords
I guess that we won’t see Ms. Gifford posing like this any time soon (unless, you know it is politically convenient)

Or her husband either:

Gabby Gifford should be reminded of Cindy Sheehan: Human Props have a short celebrity life span on that side of the aisle. And apparently there is plenty of space also under the Liberal Bus.

Dear Moms Demand: Chicago is still a bad example

So a federal judge says to Chicago that it is not kosher to ban the sale of a constitutionally protected item and the Opposition losses it.
Moms Demand Chicago
Chicago Elders went too far and got properly slapped. You cannot go in front of a judge, and simply say that even though you know that guns are constitutional protected and banning them is illegal,  you can play silly games by not allowing their sale. It would be like saying that books are constitutionally protected, but banning bookstores, libraries and newspaper kiosks is legal.

Moms and Mayor Rahm Emanuel made a loud statement that Chicago last year had its lowest murder stats in 40 years. They are proud of achieving what other cities and states have done already decades ago with gun rights and even civilians <gasp!> carrying guns with them everywhere, so basically they just managed to get to the Prom after everybody has paired up and are preparing to go into more entertaining exchanges.

The judge stayed the decision since the EMTs of the City of Chicago Whaaambulance are planning to appeal. I don’t like to make predictions, specially in that geographic area, but after Heller & McDonald, I really don’t see upper courts reversing the verdict.

And a note to all Gun Control groups, please stop saying stuff like the following from the Moms Demand Press Release:

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is shocked that in a densely populated city struggling to keep children safe from gunfire, the court has dealt a serious blow to public safety by essentially encouraging more citizens to arm themselves.

When you insinuate that your fellow citizens of a particular locale are too stupid/dumb/untrustworthy and/or as criminal as violent felons, you might be insulting  them and counterproductive to your cause.

On second thought, go ahead and keep doing it.

Another school shooting for the Moms Demand List

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. –
Gunshots reported near Nova Southeastern University’s east campus triggered a campus-wide alert on Tuesday afternoon, but they came from a film crew shooting nearby.

The alert issued about 1:06 p.m. advised students and faculty to seek shelter.

But Fort Lauderdale police spokeswoman Det. DeAnna Greenlaw said the gunshots came from a nearby movie shoot.

via Gunshots near Nova Southeastern University came from movie shoot | News – Home.

Rest assured that if they could add it to their list, they would.

In the meantime, the conditioning of the human Pavlov Dogs continues: Hear a noise, pee in place, seek shelter under the desk.

Gabriel Mobley, ThinkProgress and Stand Your ground.

I covered the case of Gabriel Mobley before. Thanks to our friends in VPC, I found an article in ThinkProgress dealing with this situation. Taking a big grain of salt for accuracy, I was amazed to see the reason the original Judge denied SYG to Mr. Mobley:

VPC mobley

The trial judge found that he was not, in part because he had returned to his car to get a gun, and fired without issuing any warning that he had a gun or attempting to mitigate the situation first

via After Bar Brawl Escalates Into A Deadly Shooting, Court Lets Shooter Off Thanks To Stand Your Ground | ThinkProgress.

Again, I only have the word of this article, but if it is true, the judge said that Mr. Mobley had to commit the  misdemeanor of a firearm “intentionally displayed in an angry or threatening manner, not in necessary self-defense” at best or Assault with a Deadly Weapon at worst so he could be in the right?

As for the “returned to his car,” I don’t see how that is even an issue when the first incident was already over. Mr. Mobley exercised caution that paid off when the offenders returned and created a new  and definitely incident.  It would be like firemen do when they put out a fire: just because there are no flames present, it does not mean it cannot go up again and keep dosing the area with water and stay attentive. The initial call is over, but you don’t relax because there are no obvious sign of a conflagration.

Again and considering the source, I don’t see appeal’s court reversed. And again I expect Andrew Branca commenting and correcting/clarifying what I posted 🙂
