“And then there were the soldiers during WW I who got up on their high horses about being told what to do, and refused to wear their gas masks…..”

I actually had to read that one twice, and I probably need a logic check, but it sure looks to me like Nony there is making a case that COVID19 is the equivalent of WEAPONISED PHOSGENE GAS; and that a square of cotton t-shirt fabric is the equivalent of a WW1 Small Box Respirator.

Blink.

Well, my days of not taking you seriously …

Just go and read the whole thing. You may even get a chuckle or two while whittling your Clue by Four.

Lootings is Reparation?

Black Lives Matter Chicago organized the rally after overnight unrest throughout the city, with police saying that more than 100 individuals were taken into custody for a variety of offenses, including looting.

“That is reparations,” Atkins said. “Anything they wanted to take, they can take it because these businesses have insurance.”

Black Lives Matter Holds Rally Supporting Individuals Arrested in Chicago Looting Monday

It is now officially a competition to see who can come up with the most outlandish concept and pass it as a serious socio-political grievance.
“Now looky here little Pissed Off Black Girl. The world is not set the way you think is but very much so differently. Yes, these stores probably have insurance, but long before your grandparents were even conceived, insurance companies established that losses by mobs/riots are not covered by the policy. So, your shitty attempt at justification is a flat and disappointing as your front end.”

The only redeeming thing Baby Che said was dissing the shit out of Jesse Jackson’s protestations that looting was immoral. Knowing the reverend’s past history, he is afraid he won’t be able to morally strong-arm the looted businesses into racial shame.

In the meantime, the Mayor of Chicago, Mrs. Beetlejuice keep blaming everything on Trump and the lack stricter of Gun Control.

You sleep in the bed that you make

That sucks for him, but I’m pretty sure he voted for that city government.

He’ll have to choice to vote against shit hole government that turns America into a shit hole, in November.

I hope he doesn’t fuck it up.

Peak David Hogg

I’ve tried really hard to ignore that little turd, but he out did himself recently.

He jumped on the anti-cop social justice bandwagon and this one takes the cake.

The police not going into his school only lead to 17 dead and 17 injured, he should know this.

Then again, maybe he does.

Had that shooting never happened or if the body count wasn’t as high, Hogg wouldn’t have gotten the boost he needed to fame, fortune, and  full ride to Harvard.

This is either the most tone deaf, lack of self awareness or the most callous, self serving Tweet ever.

I can’t decide but either way it’s beyond terrible.

Cops, prosecutors, and the anti-justice Left

The Left talks a lot about justice reform. They have also jumped on, even started pulling, the anti-cop bandwagon.  They can’t “no justice, no peace” but the reality is that this is all partisan bullshit.

Most street cops, the boots on the ground patrol officers, are conservatives. They may not be Trump supporters but as the old expression goes “a conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged,” and these cops are up to their eyeballs every day in the negative reality of progressive soft on crime policies.

Prosecutors on the other hand, especially in Blue cities and states, are overwhelmingly far Left progressives.  George Soros dumps huge sums of money into their elections.

These prosecutors are largely evil.  The zenith of these is Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance.  He was notorious for abusing New York’s gravity knife law to arrest and punish working class, often minority, residents. Construction workers, set crews, package handlers, carpenters, etc. were targeted for the pocket knives and box cutters they used for their jobs.

He did this for two reasons.  It generated a shot load of revenue for the city in fines.  It also boosted his conviction rate. That created a  reputation of being a hard-ass prosecutor that defense attorneys, especially over worked public defenders, were afraid to go up against.

Vance let Democratic king maker Harvey Weinstein off the hook for rape but nailed minority laborers to the wall over box cutters.

Finally the NRA, NAACP, ACLU, Public Defenders Union, Village Voice, and NY Post came together to stop him.  When that group gets together to call you a tyrannical ashore, you know they are right.

Kamala Harris is from that same school of prosecutors.  Serial child molesting illegals got the revolving door treatment. Children who sold Dixie cups of lemonade for a quarter without a business license got hammered so their parents paid fines.

Most recently we saw the St. Louis prosecutor charge a couple for defending their home from rioters but dismissed all charges against looters that ransacked the city.

The Left complains about police and makes the threat out to be the dozen unarmed black men shot by cops every year.

“They are executing us in the streets, daily” they scream.

The reality is that it’s prosecutors who are the threat.  Destroying the lives of defenseless minorities to generate revenue and build a reputation of success while engaging in politically selective prosecution of profile individuals.

Since the Left owns the prosecutors but the cops are conservative, the Left goes after the cops and protects the prosecutors.

This isn’t about justice. This is about power.  The power to protect their own and destroy you.

Lastly, if Trump and the GOP really wanted to swing minorities to the Right, they would go after (and make a show of it) abusive Leftist prosecutors for their wanton attacking of defenseless, poor minorities as a sacrifice to a reputation and revenue generation.

South Florida in the Summer, not a joke.

Not 30 minutes ago I was doing some computer labor and the power went out. No biggie down here, FPL is pretty decent and usually they have the power back in a minute or less.

And then two minutes passed. I started to sweat, literally. I checked the temperature in our back porch:

By know, sweat is starting to come out as the humidity creeps inside the house since the AC is out. I have my electronics plugged to UPS Power Supplies so I look up FPLs outage number to report the incoming death from heat and humidity.  Not even my trusty little table fan can help me!

Ten minutes or so after the blackout, power comes back and the fan starts to cool me. I still need to get rid of the mid-body humidity collectors and go take a shower.  I am thinking very seriously to buy another UPS for the little fan alone. Modern AC units take a long time to start again after a power outage for allegedly make sure the electronics don’t get overloaded. Fans then are a must.

Needs its own source of electricity. And that is a bucket full of assorted brass.

When There Are No Police, Most Crimes Will Carry the Death Penalty

I fear vigilantism and “lynch law” are about to make a comeback, because in the absence of the even-handed, objective rule of law, there’s little alternative.

When the “rule of law” makes no sense, vigilante law takes over – Bayou Renaissance Man

Peter is right. The work I have been doing lately has shown me that Peter’s words are right on the money, but he is missing something: People will enjoy lynching too much and will do anything to keep it.

Lynching today is but a nasty historical fact that is taught is school. What it is not taught is what took to curb that very well established custom and how long it took to make it stick.  This is from the famous child murder  of Mary Phagan in 1915:

Leo Frank was not some poor black sharecropper who stole a watermelon and got murdered by the Klan, but a White factory superintendent who murdered  13-year-old employee, Mary Phagan, in Atlanta, Georgia.  Mob rule was strong enough and its lure insidious enough that they managed to overpower and corrupt established Law and Order so they could satiate their thirst for revenge. Again, the whole local justice system was compromised because the population did not find Vigilantism barbaric, nor there was a fear of punishment for engaging in such behavior.

And you will say that why I am giving a break or having feelings for a child murderer: I don’t, but “exceptions” to the rule of law soon become the norm and soon enough it is not being hung from the nearest telephone pole for murder but for a cross word or a perceived insult.

We can’t complain that the Opposition has different rules and different laws according to the political belief and at the same time glorify extra-judicial killings.
