Watching the horror coming out of Moore OK. just left me without any desire to engage in petty political B.S. One’s soul just aches seeing the pain and the devastation but it picks up when you see the determination of the victims to survive and the goodness of those that came to the rescue.

Now, less than six months later, the NRA’s “flagship publication,” American Rifleman, is celebrating cinematic savagery with a list of the top 10 “coolest gun movies” that unabashedly praises Hollywood depictions of death and crime.
And he HATES that Red Dawn is Number One…just hates-it-hates-hates-it-hates-i! I am guessing that in his fantasy of becoming commissar, it frightens him that some young buck may take a potshot at his ass on his way to Wednesday’s Tea With Lenin’s Book Group.

Authorities last week made an agreement not to prosecute a Northwest D.C. man who used his unregistered handgun to kill a pit bull in order to stop it from mauling a child in his neighborhood.

He did it for the children, literally. He saved ONE LIFE. But he must pay for his good deed. That even prosecutors have the gall to impose him some fine is something that should make your stomach churn.
One of the many things that differ us from from Gun Control Activists is that when bad things happen, we run to the sound of trouble because we really care, while the opposition will rally with banners and demand action by the government while blaming us for the sins of the crazy and the criminal.
You will never see a Gun Control Activist risking life and limb for a fellow human being. Cowardice has very strict limits and a inhumane code of conduct.
Do you know that the wait for permission simply to own a firearm takes over one and a half years in some counties in New York state? Do you know that some of the recent proposals to encourage “responsible gun ownership” will cost each gun owner thousands of dollars every year? It is easy to say, “Well, yes, but we should regulate x or control y, without creating bad results like that.” But the reality on the ground says otherwise. All too often, restrictions on gun purchases simply mean that people of the right color and socio-economic class may buy guns, while people outside those categories may not. It happens often that people with good political connections (such as celebrities) may get them, while people without connections have a harder time.

Daniele Perazzi, president of the Italian Perazzi Shotguns firm, was taken into custody yesterday by Adams County Deputies [see update, below] along with several prototype shotguns. The executive was picked up in the parking lot of the Denver Merchandise Mart, hosting the high-end Colorado Gun Collectors show this weekend, after a taxi driver, likely reacting to a suspicious activity reporting outreach program conducted by law enforcement, told authorities he thought he could be transporting an armed “foreign speaking” terror suspect.
“We don’t want your shotguns! We love hunters! We just don’t want to see Assault Weapons in our streets!” That is what Uncle Joe Biden and the rest of the Gun Control Cadre keeps telling us. That is, of course till you have shotguns and are seen as a target.
But not only Dever PD was stupid enough to have him arrested without cause, this takes the frigging cake:

UPDATE: It might be that the information initially given was wrong as Daniele Perazzi died late last year. It is possible that the one arrested was Mauro Perazzi. However the rest of the story so far stands.
Apparently it was a fake although I’d like to know how a TV station got fooled. This is the official statement from Perazzi:

Infatti, Daniele Perazzi è, purtroppo, mancato ai vivi da circa un anno. Neppure il figlio, Mauro, si trovava sabato scorso negli USA.
Ciò significa che quanto riportato dalla stampa è assolutamente falso e sbagliato e che, di conseguenza, la notizia non è stata per nulla verificata.
L’azienda Perazzi, peraltro, contrariamente a quanto scritto, conosce bene la legislazione americana sulle armi a ragione della sua estesa e rinomata attività di commercializzazione dei suoi prodotti negli USA.
