Racist and sexist gamings of the system are the new lows for the NRA and gun fools. The 18th Century 2nd Amendment “Militias” of the US Constitution were vigilantes mainly for capturing and killing runaway slaves. Later in 1914 corporate hired “Militias” murdered protesters sleeping in tents at a mine in Ludlow, Colorado. One more thing: In May of 1970, a “Militia” of young men in Ohio National Guard Uniforms with shotguns and automatic pistols and M1 Rifles murdered four unarmed students and wounded nine others at Kent State University Ohio. Two of the murdered students were simply walking to class. 
Every time some doctrinaire gun fool quotes the 2nd Amendment remind them that they support killing runaway slaves and peaceful protesters and unarmed kids.

In early 2013, on a five-day assignment for the German magazine Stern, photographer Charles Ommanney traveled around the United States photographing Americans with their guns. Ommanney has built a career working as a political and documentary photographer and felt a responsibility to make a story that wasn’t just another “predictable NRA-bashing” type of series. He wanted to see “real” people to find out why they wanted to have guns in their homes. He also decided to shoot the project in a more engaged manner with his subjects instead of simply being a fly on the wall.

Bent on fame and exacting revenge on the people she believed responsible for her pain and isolation, police say Natalie Carpenter plotted with 19-year-old accomplice Peter Thulin to covertly sneak into Danbury High School, hold students and staff hostage and shoot “until everyone was dead.

An arrest warrant, which was unsealed by the court Tuesday, revealed Carpenter was obsessed with the 1999 Columbine School shooting, when Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, armed with guns and bombs, stormed into the school and killed 12 students and a teacher before turning the gun on themselves in the high school library. Witness accounts in the warrant also reference plans to shoot up Stratford High School.

OK, that is scary crap.

In chilling entries in a manifesto police discovered at in her Main Street apartment at Hope House, a group home for patients with mental health issues, Carpenter referred to the gunmen as “heroes” and said she wanted to “follow in their footsteps.”.

Wait…what? She is/was in a looney bin?

Police foiled the duo’s plot after two patients of Hope House in Torrington reported Carpenter and Thulin to staff members at the psychiatric facility, court records show.

So both are at a “mental facility”

A 24-year-old female patient, a friend of Thulin’s, said she was with Carpenter and Thulin in his apartment on Feb. 27, when Carpenter searched for Columbine School shooting videos on YouTube. Carpenter made several comments about wanting to “shoot up a school” because it would make her famous.

And both were babbling this killing crap to anybody within hearing range so somebody drops the dime on then (rightly so) and get arrested.

And the closest we have to “Gun Law” related is this:

Carpenter and Thulin went to Tactical Arms, a city gun store on Migeon Avenue, and attempted to purchase a 12-gauge shotgun.

When that didn’t work, Carpenter went to Walmart and filled out paperwork to purchase a shotgun or rifle and was told she had to wait two weeks while paperwork was processed to confirm she was a U.S. citizen since she was adopted from Lithuania.

I have to call foul on the adoption thing:

So basically they screwed up in the paperwork (my take) and they babbled about their plans till somebody told authorities…but according to CSGV, it was the gun laws of the State Of Connecticut (more likely post Sandy Hook) that saved the day.

But when you are desperate, you grasp at the straws found in the stables where they keep the magic unicorns.

Is the reduction of legal magazine capacity in NJ just a regular push for more gun control or a perfect set-up to bring down Chris Christie as possible candidate for the Presidency?

He is somewhat well liked by North East Low Information voters on the Dem side so those would be votes away from  the future Democratic Party candidate. And since he has the “R” attached to his name, maybe strategist are thinking he has the Republican vote cinched. So, if he vetoes the bill, the N.E. Voters will abandon him; if he signs the bill, then it is gonna be the Republicans (and gun owners in specific) that will abandon him. They are betting on a Catch-22 paradox.

Then again, I don’t know the first gun owner that does either like Gov. Christie. I know I wouldn’t vote for him if he gets selected by the GOP and i think many Gun Owners would go the same way.

But rest assured, we will go out and vote. Not just for the biggest RINO (literally and figuratively) in the GOP Zoo but to reclaim the Senate.

Saluda PD gets funds to tackle school shootings not from the government or Gun Control groups but by local NRA members.

“It won’t be like a full (Special Weapons and Tactics) team,” Holmes said. “We don’t have enough people for a SWAT team. But we want to improve our capabilities in rapid response.”
That improvement was greatly aided Tuesday evening as the Saluda Friends of the National Rifle Association presented the department a check for $6,920. Raised through a banquet and other fundraisers, the grant goes through a rigorous selection process.

Mason Rudder, 6, of suburban Kansas City, Mo., trains with a former Navy Seal at a military training facility near Farmington, Mo. The boy has a rare genetic neuromuscular disorder and aspires to join the Navy Seals.
