Book: My Brother Ron by Clayton Cramer

My Brother Ron: A Personal and Social History of the Deinstitutionalization of the Mentally Ill by Clayton Cramer.

I guess a couple of months ago, I caught an interview with Mr. Cramer in NRA News about his new book. Since we finally appear to be talking about the problems of the people with mental problems in this country, I downloaded the kindle version and I am reading it now. So far, I doubt pretty much something will be done regarding the mentally ill: It would mean for the Liberals to admit they screw the pooch by a hundred orders of magnitude when they went all Civil Rights for the criminally insane and in my very jaded opinion, they can always make political hay out of the condition of the homeless which make for an inordinate percentage of the mentally ill.

Read it, I promise you will be pissed as hell before you are halfway through.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee: “Turn in your guns!”

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) on Wednesday afternoon urged people to turn in their guns, arguing it would be an appropriate response to last week’s mass shooting in Newtown, Conn.

House Dem: ‘Turn in your guns’
Says she who is protected by the The United States Capitol Police, Metropolitan Police Department (D.C) and the FBI investigates if she feels somebody is making funny jokes about her.

I want every single protection detail removed from all three branches of Government (yes, President included) make them live like that for one presidential period before they have the balls to attempt imposing restriction on my personal defense and my Second Amendment rights. I’ll be nice and allow them to carry guns….of course only if they are properly trained, fingerprinted and pass a background check. I figure certain members of Congress will have to do without guns due to their checkered past.

John Lott on NPR about Gun Free Zones.

Go here for the full transcript.

I think one thing that’s been missing in this discussion is that essentially all the multiple victim public shootings in the United States, and all the ones in Europe, have one factor in common – that is, they keep occurring where guns are banned.

You’d think people would think common sense would prevail. But the White House is demanding a ban of the guns that were NOT used in Sandy Hook. That should be enough to tell you what’s going on.

Twitter Cyberwarfare?

My account got suspended again in less than a week. Reason given: too many unsolicited replies. I know I had a long conversation with a lady about gun control, parted in great terms and were supposed to get back and finish. All other interactions with mostly idiots were short, sweet and free of bad words.

If you have Twitter, search the term #TwitterGulag. Not for nothing but appears to be a huge number of conservatives/Libertarians/gun owners/ and basically non-libs spending time shut down. Either Twitter is being selective on its prosecution or Libs are targeting people to shut them down…OK, both are very probable.

If you do interact a lot in Twitter and are pissing off the right people, make sure you have an alternate account.

ONCE IS ACCIDENT, TWICE IS ENEMY ACTION.

Another rat jumps ship: Cheaper than Dirt!

Dumb…really dumb.

Cheaper Than Dirt! is suspending online sales of firearms effective immediately. We are reviewing our policy internally, and will continue to be the leader in the outdoor industry with our full line of gear and accessories.

Somehow I doubt the second part will remain true for long. Those who ignore the past…..

UPDATE: They have 6,595 comments in 2 hours’ worth. As much as I read all were pretty much the same: You are idiots and goodbye. Have a nice bankruptcy.

UPDATE 2: CTD is getting massacred in Twitter. And if that wasn’t all, they raised the price of the PMags from $15 to $60 in 48 hours.

UPDATE 3: Facebook account suspended by them. Now they claim they are supporters of the Second Amendment. They managed to generate 11,900 replies and probably none positive and lost over 4,000 likes since I last checked.
