Hillary forgot the lessons from the past

Via Say Uncle.

“The gun lobby spent about $30 million against me, not having the guts to take on specific gun proposals,” Clinton said. “In fact, their ads had nothing to do with guns. They were just outright lies.”

Hillary Clinton Honored With Courageous Leadership Award in SF

I am guessing her ailments made her forgot the comments of her husband admitting they never paid much attention to the power the NRA could have in the presidential elections where her buddy Al Gore lost.

At least after losing the election, Al Gore went of to a successful career in Carbon Credits (coughbullshitcough) and an award winning “documentary”. Hillary did not fare equally well.

“And don’t forget to try the frozen perogies. They are BOGO just for today.”

The Hogg goes “Hands Up – Don’t Shoot.”

When you think he cannot go stupider.

Yet, it is not surprising. We have known for a while the Gun Control has turned notoriously Anti-Cop, probably to bring more black activists to the fold so they stop looking like their usual Klan meeting.

But to take the case of Mike Brown can blow in his face rather badly. Activist will continue to assert that Brown was mowed down while surrendering to the officer in the middle of the street, no matter what the evidence presented at the grand jury said. But those who initially sided with the outrage and then found out they were lied in shameless manner by the media, are not going to take well that the Little Goebbels is picking up the flag of a Bullshit Case and wave it at their faces.

It is good to finally have a “reliable” source that considers pretty much any firearm discharge as “Gun Violence.”  They keep moving the goalposts and eventually they are going to expand the stadium to find a place to put them.

Range Practice = Gun Violence.

Coming soon to a #Gunsense rally near you.

The Parkland Brats Bus Tour starts with a Media Whimper.

I just found out through Sean S. in Facebook that the March For Our Lives tour, (A.K.A. The Parkland Brats Bus Tour) commenced in Chicago last Saturday.

Did you hear about it? Apparently very few people did and even less News Media even cared.  Google News only gave me seven returns for “march for our lives Chicago” and other than a photo posted by one of the Parkland “Survivors” we have no idea if the crowd was respectable. The few pictures from the Media are tight and focused on “star” individuals like Gabby Gifford looking for 5 more minutes of fame.

Besides their stop in Napierville, IL, they also showed up at St. Louis, MO where they only got one Media entity to cover the event, of all days on a Sunday.

Here is the rest of their schedule for June:

Standing Rock Reservation caught my eye. Are they gonna be joined with the Dakota Access Pipeline Water Protectors? The ones that fighting for a cleaner environment, left an ecological disaster behind them? Oy!

This does not bode well for The Parkland Brats Bus Tour. Usually you get the big crowds and media coverage at the beginning of the your and it fades out about 1/3 into the trip.

Stand Your Ground: That is not how it works.

As usual, for sake of discussion we are going to assume the info in the article is correct.

LIVINGSTON — In a case that tested the limits of Louisiana’s “stand your ground” laws, a Walker man found guilty of attempted manslaughter in the 2015 shooting of a home invader was sentenced Thursday to three years in prison.
Aaron Neames, 27, had been found guilty in the shooting case in May. He was sentenced on Thursday by 21st Judicial District Judge Bob Morrison.
At trial, the prosecution argued Neames went too far in shooting home invader Benjamin Jarreau, 19, of Gonzales, pursuing vigilante retribution after the man was already disarmed and out of the house.
The defense attorney maintained that Neames was justified in shooting the man, who only moments earlier had held three people hostage inside the house with a gun.

Walker man who shot home invader sentenced to 3 years; case tested ‘stand your ground’ law

Long story short: Benjamin Jarreau broke into a house and at gun point terrorized the people inside. Mr. Neames arrived, a struggle ensued and Jarraeu abandoned the house in a hurry and without a gun. It is what happens next what torques the pig’s tail:

According to Daniels, Jarreau left and got into his car. Neames followed him outside and shot into the car six times, striking Jarreau in the elbow and arm.

For the prosecution and eventually the jury, Mr. Jarreu was no longer being a threat and the efforts by the defense to explain that he got shot because Mr. Neames considered him a continuous threat, failed to make way.

Simply put: the moment that the attacker left the house, the whistle was blown and the clock for the previous event stopped, Neames was no longer covered by any Self-Defense statute.

Unfortunately the whistle is just a metaphor and you only can rely on your smarts not to step over the line. If the immediate threat has ceased, you are to stop, remain vigilant but take no action.

I almost forgot: The way I see it, SYG did  not apply.
