What is this about? I hate to use this expression as it has been abused to death, but it would be a game changer.

Instead of automatically putting patients on ventilators, doctors are sometimes trying a method of helping patients breathe that involves placing them on their sides or bellies, and administering oxygen.
And though some prominent doctors have remained skeptical about the approach, saying there isn’t enough evidence that it works, others are trying it.
In the case of his recent patient, Farcy decided to see if new approach would help. He told the patient to lie on his side while receiving oxygen, a posture that changes the way air and blood flows through the lungs. And the patient improved. His blood oxygen — the amount of oxygen present in the bloodstream, an important indicator of health — rose.

The doctors warn that it does not work on everybody, but if confirmed, individuals that can accept it will require a much simple level of care to improve rather than using very invasive process.  All of the sudden a flat horizontal surface and a tank of oxygen is all you need to keep somebody alive.

I do hope this is gets confirmed.

Man released from jail amid coronavirus concerns is arrested on a murder charge

Amid rising concerns of the coronavirus being spread in a Florida jail, many inmates were released early, including Joseph Williams.

Now, the 26-year-old is back behind bars for several new charges including second-degree murder with a firearm, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Williams was originally arrested March 13 for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia, according to court records. He was one of more than 100 inmates released March 19 to curb the spread of the virus in detention centers and protect inmates and staff.

Yeah, drug possession is a non-violent crime.  Those inmates are just harmless puppy dogs who need to be set free to spare them from the virus.

“There is no question Joseph Williams took advantage of this health emergency to commit crimes while he was out of jail awaiting resolution of a low-level, non-violent offense,” Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement.

I’m sorry.  Haven’t rational people been saying that might happen.  The LA Sheriff just admitted to it.

Williams has a lengthy criminal record that shows he has been arrested for 35 charges, according to the sheriff’s office.

Real perfect candidate for Virus release. A true standup citizen who should have been totally trusted with a “get out of jail free” card.

And now somebody is dead.  The bureaucrats who thought to release inmates because of the Virus should he indicted as accomplices.

This really is a farce.

And I already knew it was him because I heard the machines puttering on earlier, specially the annoying leaf blower. I used my cam to check the outside and saw him with the full mask.  He is hired to do the HOA work and when he finishes the big job, then take cares of the smaller clients.

By the way, it makes sense to have a mask like that in Florida, specially in times like this: It not only mitigates virus transmission but if you work under the sun all day, it helps prevent skin cancer, a very sad and normal thing down here.

If I had the patience, I’d look for the complains of the WHO’s falling response to he Ebola outbreak in Africa. From failure to provide basic personal protection equipment to people dealing with a disease that is killing half of those  who are infected to buying expired disinfectants to clean equipment linens and hospitals.

Anyway, the UN is an organization long past its expiration date. Full defunding by the USA should be the only way.
