I admit I love a good stunt. That is the main reason I watch Bond movies and Hooper has  a special place in my heart.  I remember watching my first Buster Keaton movie and realize “there are not the same old stunts. These are the dawn of the stunts!”

And yes, there were some before. but he was the Merlin of them all.

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. Hell yeah, love me some Buster Keaton. Of course Chaplin is good too, but he’s almost cliche. I remember watching his “Pawn Shop Skit” at my grandfather’s house as a kid, and I laughed until I cried the last time I watched it again. Easily his best, in my opinion. All of these old films fascinate me for the window they give into life back in that era. The streets, the people, the furnishings, the cars and trains. In some ways it is familiar, because it was the beginning of the modern era, but in other ways it’s almost alien because of the things that are no longer the same.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
